Brand Collective acquires three collapsed Australian retailers
Brand Collective has acquired three Australian retailers—Glue Store, The Dom and Running Bare—that ceased trading this year. Accent Group shut Glue Store in mid-June after an $8.4 million loss, while The Dom went dark in April and Running Bare has been out of business for six months.
The buyer, a Larry Kestelman‑owned group with more than 30 brands, intends to keep Glue Store focused on youth fashion while upgrading its digital platform and adding stores. For The Dom, Brand Collective plans to broaden the online factory outlet into a fashion, footwear and lifestyle destination at low prices. Running Bare will undergo a digital rebuild aimed at preserving the label’s distinct identity after six months out of business.
“These acquisitions demonstrate Brand Collective’s ongoing evolution and innovation as a business,” David Thomas, CEO of Brand Collective said.
Glue Store was closed by Accent Group in mid‑June after suffering an $8.4 million loss and a series of store shutdowns. The Dom ceased operations in April amid financial pressure, and Running Bare has been inactive for six months. These closures left the three brands available for acquisition.
