Harbinger secures FedEx order for 2,000 electric trucks worth over $300 million
Harbinger announced on Wednesday that FedEx has ordered 2,000 all-electric trucks in a deal valued at more than $300 million. The trucks are slated for delivery by the end of 2027 and will replace diesel vehicles one-for-one in FedEx’s U.S. and Canada pickup‑and‑delivery fleet.
Harbinger says the trucks have a 42‑foot turning diameter and include improved suspension, handling and advanced driver‑assistance technology to reduce fatigue on urban routes.
“FedEx is demonstrating that the business case for incorporating electric vehicles into real-world fleet operations at scale makes sense,” John Harris, co‑founder and CEO said.
“Electrifying a fleet at this scale requires vehicles that can perform the work our robust operations demand while also delivering meaningful economic benefits,” Paul Melander, FedEx senior vice president of safety and transportation said.
Prior to this order, FedEx had purchased 53 Harbinger electric trucks in November 2025 and co‑led the company’s $160 million Series C financing, with a FedEx executive joining Harbinger’s board.
