Tractor Supply opens 865,000-sq-ft Idaho DC with $200M investment

Tractor Supply opened its 11th distribution center, an 865,000-square-foot facility in Nampa, Idaho, according to a Sept. 23 news release. The site represents a more than $200 million investment and is expected to create 500 full-time jobs. It features an automated storage and retrieval system from Knapp and a dedicated AI innovation team.

The facility began receiving inventory in August and will commence outbound shipping this month. It will distribute products to 123 stores in nine states during its first year and can scale to serve more than 200 stores at full capacity. The site includes 80 truck docks and has additional acreage available for future expansion. About 81% of merchandise received by Tractor Supply's stores in fiscal year 2025 came from its distribution network, and the Nampa center gives the company a Northwest presence serving its 70 retail locations across Idaho, Oregon, Nevada and Washington as of Dec. 27, 2025.

“a new standard for how products move through our supply chain,” Craig Ledbetter, chief supply chain officer said.

“As more people look to embrace the 'Out Here Lifestyle' and we continue to open new stores, this distribution center will be vital to get our customers the products they want and need,” Craig Ledbetter, chief supply chain officer said.

Distribution centers play a key role in ensuring Tractor Supply's stores can serve customers, with the locations of the distribution facilities aiming to help minimize logistics costs and optimize the distance from distribution facilities to our stores. As of Dec. 27, 2025, Tractor Supply had 70 retail locations across Idaho, Oregon, Nevada and Washington, according to a securities filing.
