DoorDash expands Costco delivery nationwide, offering over 4,000 products
DoorDash announced on Sept. 17 that U.S. Costco members can now order from the retailer through its platform for same‑day delivery nationwide. U.S. members will have access to more than 4,000 Costco items, ranging from groceries and household essentials to electronics and Kirkland Signature goods.
To place an order, users search for Costco in the DoorDash app and enter their Costco membership information; non‑members are prompted to sign up for a membership. The service covers same‑day delivery from local Costco warehouses across the United States. DoorDash already offered Costco delivery in Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Iceland and Puerto Rico, and the U.S. rollout extends that partnership. Costco also works with Instacart and Uber Eats for delivery, and the DoorDash launch coincided with new ordering options from Uber Eats in the same week.
“Costco members have been asking for Costco on DoorDash, and today we’re delivering,” Mike Goldblatt, vice president of enterprise partnerships at DoorDash said.
Before the U.S. launch, DoorDash had provided Costco delivery in Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Iceland and Puerto Rico. The announcement came the same week that Costco and Uber Eats introduced new ordering options in the United States. Costco already partners with Instacart and Uber Eats for delivery services.
