Tavio expands freight integration platform with API, EDI and on‑premises agent
Tavio said its freight‑focused integration platform added a public API, an on‑premises agent and native EDI capabilities last fall, according to CFO Paul Mladineo. IT leaders reported spending 36% of their time on building and testing custom integrations, per a February 2026 MuleSoft benchmark.
The platform orchestrates B2B EDI messaging alongside REST and JSON APIs on a single architecture, allowing on‑premises databases and AI agents to use the same data pipes. Tavio already counts Uber Freight among its customers, and it is targeting 3PLs and software vendors for further growth. According to the same MuleSoft survey, the average organization runs 957 applications but only 27% of them are connected to any other system. By providing a fixed data path with configurable rules, Tavio’s ‘Data as Configuration’ approach lets users build an integration once and deploy it to many trading partners.
“Our offer is a technology platform that an organization can use to drastically reduce the headcount, time, and effort to deliver the integrations that they need internally and with their customers,” Damian Newland, Vice President of Strategy and Growth at Tavio said.
Joynd, based in New York, and The Cloud Connectors, based in Quebec City, were both HR technology integration specialists, and the 2025 deal that combined them was initially announced as an HR tech merger.
