eComID raises $17 million seed round to expand AI shopping platform
Swedish startup eComID announced a $17 million seed round led by Systemiq Capital. The investment will fund international expansion, product development and team growth while the company serves over 60 brands and reaches 20 million monthly shoppers. eComID was also recognized as one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies of 2025.
The Shopping Passport feature allows shoppers to maintain their preference context as they move between connected brands, enabling stores to understand them from the first visit. Vera, the company's AI shopping agent, uses that shared context to deliver sizing intelligence, smart conversational search, and personalised product recommendations directly on each brand's website. Since its launch in 2024, eComID has partnered with retailers such as COS, J.Lindeberg, Axel Arigato, NN07, Peak Performance, Haglöfs, Asket, and Stadium. The seed round included participation from Regeneration.VC, Course Corrected, Stadium, and returning investor CapitalT alongside lead investor Systemiq Capital. eComID’s platform is designed to bridge the gap between shoppers, brands and AI by providing a continuous layer of context across the shopping journey. The $17 million investment will enable eComID to scale its Shopping Passport and Vera AI agent across new markets while growing its team to support the expanding network of brand partners. With over 60 brand partners and a monthly reach of 20 million shoppers, eComID said its technology helps stores deliver a more personalised experience from the first interaction.
“AI without context still starts from zero,” Oscar Rundqvist, Co-founder and CEO at eComID said.
