Flipkart says active seller base nears 1.4m after dropping fashion commissions

Flipkart says its active seller base reached about 1.4 million after 15 months of zero commissions on fashion. The zero‑commission model, launched in November 2025 with a ₹1,000 price cap, now applies to every fashion item on the platform.

The number of unique SKUs that actually sell on Flipkart rose 33% compared with a year earlier. Amazon India says it added 300,000 sellers to surpass two million total sellers on its marketplace.

“credited the zero-commission model it introduced in November 2025, which started with a ₹1,000 price cap and now covers every fashion product,” Sakait Chaudhary, Flipkart’s head of softlines, grocery and marketplace said.
