Nvidia Secures Over 100 Partners for Its Open Agent Safety Platform
Nvidia announced its Open Agent Safety Platform on Monday, Sept. 28, 2026, saying more than 100 organizations are already working with the technology. The platform’s Sentry hardware watchdog can quarantine and stop an AI agent within milliseconds if it tries to exceed its software boundaries.
OpenShell software creates a controlled environment around the agent, traces its actions and enforces operating rules set by the operator.
Giving an agent instructions about what it may do is only one part of controlling it; businesses also need systems that prevent the agent from reaching tools or taking actions beyond its authority.
