Perplexity opens creator marketing role with $175K-$225K salary
Perplexity has opened a creator marketing role offering a $175K-$225K salary. The role demands at least five years in creator or performance marketing. Perplexity says it works with hundreds of influencers, including Lewis Hamilton and Joe Rogan.
The hire will build the creator function from scratch, overseeing campaigns that reach past 100 creators. Performance will be measured by conversion, not just impressions, and the manager will review creator builds made with Perplexity Computer. The position is a backfill for an existing role after the previous holder moved internally to broader duties.
“This is about getting potential users interested in AI’s usefulness and practical benefits,” Ben Woods, head of creator economy at Enders Analysis said.
For instance, Anthropic hired Lexie Barnhorn in March to run influencer marketing across social and podcasts. A few months later OpenAI acquired the creator media company Technology Business Programming Network (TBPN). OpenAI took a different route this summer, flying a group of creators out for a lavish trip in New York.
