Shein opens 737,000‑sq‑ft automated distribution center in Lebanon, Indiana

Shein opened a 737,000‑square‑foot automated distribution warehouse in Lebanon, Indiana, with operations slated to start this month, according to a Sept. 10 press release. The site lies roughly 1.5 miles from Shein’s existing Whitestown facility, bringing the retailer’s total Indiana footprint to over 2.5 million square feet.

The warehouse features a goods‑to‑person fulfillment system that delivers products directly to employee workstations. Shein says the automation is intended to cut manual tasks and improve worker safety while boosting overall fulfillment capacity. Besides the Indiana sites, Shein operates distribution centers in California and works with third‑party logistics partners across the United States.

“The facility is equipped with technology and automation intended to improve fulfillment efficiency, including a goods-to-person fulfillment system that brings products directly to employee workstations,” Shein spokesperson said.

Shein launched its first Indiana distribution center in Whitestown back in 2022. Earlier this month, PDD Holdings said it is adjusting its supply chain to offset new EU customs fees on low‑value shipments, following the U.S. removal of the de minimis threshold last year.
