Sleep Country Canada brings Bed Bath & Beyond back online with 6,000 products
Sleep Country Canada launched the Bed Bath & Beyond online store in Canada, roughly three and a half years after the Canadian chain entered creditor protection in February 2023, offering about 6,000 products from more than 80 brands. Sleep Country plans to open physical Bed Bath & Beyond stores in late 2027, marking the brand’s return to brick-and-mortar retail in Canada.
The online assortment includes roughly 6,000 items from more than 80 brands, spanning bed, bath, kitchen, dining, décor, organization, baby and seasonal goods. Sleep Country Canada secured the Canadian rights to Bed Bath & Beyond from Overstock in late 2025, after the trademarks had been pulled out of bankruptcy in 2023. All 54 former Bed Bath & Beyond locations in Canada closed when the company filed for CCAA creditor protection in February 2023. Stewart Schaefer, President & CEO of Sleep Country Canada and head of brands including Endy, Silk & Snow, Casper and Simba, said bringing Bed Bath & Beyond back to Canada is a dream come true.
“We’ve taken what people know and love about the brand and given them new reasons to discover it, with a thoughtful assortment that brings together style, function and accessibility,” Carol Deacon, President, Bed Bath & Beyond Canada said.
Bed Bath & Beyond Canada entered CCAA creditor protection in February 2023. At the time, it operated 54 stores. Sleep Country Canada acquired the brand’s rights in late 2025 after it shut down its stores.
