Ulta Beauty uses 47‑million‑customer base for Halle Berry wellness partnership
Ulta Beauty announced an exclusive retail partnership with actress Halle Berry’s sexual‑wellness brand Respin, using its database of more than 47 million active customers. The move responds to what Brindley described as an "overwhelming" interest in wellness‑focused products among female shoppers later in life.
Ulta Beauty said it will pair its customer‑data analysis with training for sales associates so they can comfortably explain the new wellness products. Respin, co‑founded by Berry and Ally Tam Tumasova, focuses on intimate‑wellness solutions for women experiencing perimenopause and menopause symptoms. The retailer notes that its predominantly female executive team and more than 60,000 store associates are central to making the category more accessible and reducing stigma. Brindley said the collaboration aims to create a powerful platform that resonates with customers and delivers outstanding product quality. The retailer plans to broaden its wellness assortment while ensuring staff are equipped to discuss the new offerings with shoppers.
“I was a woman who was dropped smack dab into perimenopause with no warning,” Halle Berry, actress and co‑founder of Respin said.
Ulta Beauty pointed to its database of over 47 million active customers, which generate about 95 percent of its sales, as a rich source of insight into shopper demand. Analysis of that data showed a particularly strong interest in wellness‑focused brands among older female customers, a demand Brindley characterised as "overwhelming".
