Albertsons adds three directors and names interim CFO as board grows to 14

Albertsons announced on Wednesday that it appointed three new directors and named Cody Perdue as interim CFO, expanding its board to 14 members. The new directors—Meg Ham, Bill Boltz and Chris Drumgoole—will start on Oct. 14, while Perdue succeeds Sharon McCollam, who remains an advisor until Feb. 27, 2027.

Before the additions, Albertsons’ board had 11 members, and after appointing Meg Whitman as executive chair last month it grew to 10, then to 14 with the three new directors. Ham retired in May 2025 after leading Food Lion for over a decade, Boltz oversees merchandising and omnichannel strategy for Lowe’s 1,700 U.S. stores, and Drumgoole manages operations and technology for Aligned Data Centers’ U.S. and Latin American facilities. Perdue joined Albertsons in 2023 and has been senior vice president of treasury, investor relations and risk management since 2025, a role he will keep while serving as interim CFO. Albertsons said it is still searching for a permanent CFO after McCollam’s planned retirement, which she announced in July.

“Albertsons is operating in an increasingly dynamic retail environment, and Bill, Chris and Meg bring expertise to our board that will help me and my team strengthen the business and serve customers,” Susan Morris, Albertsons’ CEO said.

“Cody has been my right hand and a trusted partner to the entire leadership team,” Sharon McCollam, former Albertsons president and CFO said.

Albertsons named Meg Whitman as executive chair last month. Albertsons pointed to weak sales growth and flat net sales in its most recent quarter amid a challenging environment for traditional grocers.
