Amazon grants U.S. employees 10% online and 20% in-store grocery discount starting Oct. 1, 2026
Starting October 1, 2026, Amazon will give every U.S. employee a 10% discount on groceries bought through Amazon.com and Whole Foods Market Online and a 20% discount on in-store purchases at Whole Foods Market and Daily Shop. The discount has no spending cap, requires no minimum purchase, and is available from an employee's first day on the job.
It applies to fresh produce, dairy, diapers, baby formula, cleaning supplies, pet food and other everyday essentials sold and shipped by Amazon or offered through Whole Foods Market. Employees can combine the discount with Prime member prices, coupons, Lightning Deals, Subscribe & Save and other promotions. Whole Foods Market operates more than 550 stores nationwide, with over 100 additional locations in development, including the Daily Shop format for quick trips. Since adding perishables to Same-Day Delivery in early 2025, sales of those items have grown more than forty‑fold and now represent nine of the top ten most‑ordered Same‑Day Delivery products where the service is offered.
Amazon has long sought to make grocery shopping faster and more affordable, offering Same-Day Delivery in more than 2,300 U.S. cities and towns and expanding its Whole Foods Market footprint. The company already sells nearly three million grocery and everyday essential items on Amazon.com and continues to develop new store concepts like Daily Shop for quick trips.

Whole Foods Market has more than 550 stores, with more than 100 new stores in development, including the expanding Daily Shop concept, designed for quick, everyday trips.
Since introducing perishables into Same-Day Delivery in early 2025, perishables sales have grown by over 40 times, and now make up nine of the top ten most-ordered items for Same-Day Delivery where they're available.
