Avalara launches Aviator hub to cut tax work from days to minutes

Avalara launched its Aviator agent hub, built on more than 22 years of compliance data, at the CRUSH customer and partner conference. The hub uses AI agents to turn days of manual compliance work into minutes of oversight.

Avalara says the Aviator hub is initially available to existing customers at no extra charge. Its orchestrator AI, Avi, can draft tax rules, simulate impacts, and flag conflicts before activation. Capabilities include mapping products to tax codes, reporting liability data, validating exemption certificates, generating tax matrices, analyzing results, and configuring custom rules. Over time, Avalara plans to extend the agentic capabilities into ERP, e‑commerce, finance and collaboration platforms already used by customers.

“Our customers need a system they can trust to get real work done. Avalara Aviator fulfills that need,” Hugo Sarrazin, Chief Executive Officer at Avalara said.

Previously, tax software handled individual tasks such as calculations and filings, while the steps between them remained manual and isolated. As companies expand across more markets and channels, tax rules have become more interconnected, digital, and real‑time.
