DoorDash launches agentic ordering waitlist for offices, cites five partners
DoorDash opened a waitlist for its agentic ordering MCP for corporate offices as of Sept. 30, naming SpaceX, Cognition, Vercel, Mercor and Tempo as early partners. The Model Context Protocol lets companies connect internal AI agents to DoorDash for automated office orders such as lunch catering and supply restocks.
DoorDash launched the command line interface for agentic ordering in beta in July, allowing individual developers to link DoorDash ordering to their personal agents for recurring grocery orders and preference‑based suggestions. Accepted waitlist participants receive access at the company level, after which each employee must sign into an individual DoorDash account to accept the terms of service and connect their AI agents. The beta remains limited in scope, permitting companies to place orders only for their teams rather than for broader consumer markets.
“enables individual developers to connect DoorDash ordering capabilities to their personal agents,” Andy Fang, co-founder and director at DoorDash said.
“In fact, one of the biggest use cases we saw was automating their office work,” Andy Fang, co-founder and director at DoorDash said.
Prior to this announcement, DoorDash showcased new drone delivery and its Dasher Returns service at the Dash Forward event in San Francisco. The company had also introduced a beta command line interface for agentic ordering in July to enable developers to connect DoorDash to personal agents.
