GreyOrange acquires Site Bionics to add digital twin tech to gStore

GreyOrange has acquired Site Bionics, the developer of an AI-powered digital twin platform. The acquisition lets retailers turn existing security cameras into a live, continuously updated model of store activity.

The technology will be integrated first with gStore, GreyOrange’s AI-powered retail SaaS for store inventory and omnichannel operations. It combines Site Bionics’ video‑language models with gStore’s item‑level RFID intelligence to give a single AI‑driven view of products and people on the floor. All processing happens on‑site, tracking is anonymous, and the system is protected by enterprise‑grade security and privacy controls.

“For years, this industry has promised retailers that RFID and computer vision would come together and show them the full story of their stores. That promise has gone unmet,” Adam Blair, co‑founder of Site Bionics said.

Site Bionics was founded by Adam Blair, former chief technology officer of Radar, and Don Gillett, former head architect of Amazon Go. GreyOrange says the Site Bionics team will deploy the technology in gStore first, with plans to extend it to warehouse operations through the GreyMatter platform.
