ITC completes ₹645 crore acquisition of Yoga Bar parent Sproutlife
ITC has completed the purchase of the remaining 52.5% stake in Sproutlife Foods, the parent of Yoga Bar, for around ₹645 crore, making the snack brand a wholly owned subsidiary from September 28. The deal raises ITC’s holding in Sproutlife from 47.5% to 100%.
ITC initially invested ₹175 crore to acquire a 39.4% stake in Sproutlife in early 2023, followed by an additional ₹80 crore to increase its holding to 47.5%. The latest purchase was made through a secondary transaction of 13,445 equity shares, as disclosed in an exchange filing. Sproutlife reported a turnover of ₹452 crore in FY26, up from ₹200 crore the previous year. Sproutlife’s revenue has more than doubled each year, climbing from ₹108 crore in FY24 to ₹200 crore in FY25 and reaching ₹452 crore in FY26.
ITC first disclosed its intention to buy Yoga Bar in January 2023, planning to acquire the full stake in stages over three to four years. The company has also been buying other digital‑first brands, including a deal for Meatigo’s parent in February 2025 and a move to fully own Mother Sparsh baby care by 2027. The deal follows a broader trend, as HUL bought a 90.5% stake in Minimalist’s parent for about ₹2,706 crore in April 2025 and Marico agreed to purchase the remaining 46.02% of True Elements for ₹138 crore in September 2025.
