Majestic Wine launches digital loyalty app giving one point per pound spent
Majestic Wine has launched its first digital loyalty programme alongside a new smartphone app that lets shoppers earn one point for every pound spent. New users receive 50 points simply for downloading the app and creating an account. Shoppers can redeem points for free products once they reach thresholds of 100, 200, 400, 800 or 1,600 points.
Points can be exchanged through the app for free products in stores, with rewards ranging from bottles in Majestic’s Guv’nor range to premium wines and Champagne such as E. Guigal Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Lanson Le Black Création Brut. The app includes a digital loyalty card that can be scanned at checkout or saved to a smartphone wallet. Users can create wishlists, save tasting notes and ratings, and check real‑time stock at their nearest Majestic store. Shop Local integration lets customers view local inventory and order for next‑day delivery or click‑and‑collect in as little as four hours, and now accounts for more than half of all online orders. The app is available on Apple and Android devices, and Majestic says it will continue to invest in and expand the platform ahead of the Christmas period and beyond.
“loyal, knowledgeable and highly engaged,” Elizabeth Newman, managing director, Majestic Wine said.
Majestic steps up digital investment. The wine specialist said it plans to continue investing in and expanding the app ahead of the Christmas trading period and over the coming years.
