Morrisons launches fourth robot delivery trial in Cambourne as Just Eat expands
On 11 October 2026, Morrisons launched its fourth autonomous delivery robot trial in Cambourne, marking Just Eat's expansion of the service to a new area. The trial adds delivery capacity ahead of the festive season and during regular Half Price Wednesdays promotions on Just Eat.
Shoppers ordering from the Cambourne Morrisons store via the Just Eat app will have their orders delivered exclusively by robot. Three existing Morrisons Daily stores in Sunderland and Milton Keynes already use the same robot delivery service. The robots, operated by Starship Technologies, navigate pavements and crossings to deliver groceries directly to customers' doors. No additional fee is charged for the robot delivery option, which is presented as a standard delivery choice at checkout.
“We are pleased to be working with Just Eat and Starship Technologies to trial autonomous robot deliveries from our Cambourne supermarket as we continue exploring innovative ways to serve our local community,” Charlotte Exell, Group Online Director at Morrisons said.
This is the first trial location where it doesn't already offer grocery delivery and builds on Sunderland and Milton Keynes deployments. In addition to Cambourne, the trial is also underway across three of our Morrisons Daily stores.
