Puma names Fokko de Rooij Europe MD, Daniel Pustina Cluster Central MD
Puma appointed Fokko de Rooij as managing director for Europe effective 1 October and Daniel Pustina as managing director for Cluster Central with immediate effect. The appointments follow a 9.4% year‑on‑year decline in Puma’s currency‑adjusted sales for the second quarter of 2026.
As MD of Cluster Central, Pustina will oversee commercial operations in the DACH region, Benelux, Eastern Europe and Ukraine. He joined Puma in 2020 and most recently served as MD for Oceania, reporting to de Rooij. De Rooij, a former Nike VP of EMEA sales, will report directly to CEO Arthur Hoeld, who is temporarily overseeing commercial operations after the departure of CCO Matthias Baeumer.
“The European market is a key pillar for Puma. That’s why I’m happy we have found two leaders to advance the business in line with our strategic priorities,” Arthur Hoeld, CEO said.
“With Fokko, we have found an internationally experienced leader with a successful track record of leading organisations through large‑scale transformations. At the same time, Daniel is well positioned to drive Puma’s commercial performance in the important Cluster Central, given his deep understanding of the Central European market,” Arthur Hoeld, CEO said.
These appointments follow the departures of former executives Javier Ortega and Bas van den Bemt. Under the new organisational structure, the regional leadership for Puma’s remaining European divisions will remain unchanged.
