Square launches Apple Business integration for sellers in eight countries

Square has launched an Apple Business integration that lets sellers manage their physical locations on Apple Maps and other Apple apps, offered in eight countries. Sellers in the United States and Canada who do not yet have an Apple Business account can enroll directly from the Square Dashboard.

Once connected, hours, addresses, and phone numbers updated in Square sync automatically to each location’s Apple Maps place card. Sellers can also add a logo and action buttons such as Order, Delivery, or Book that link to their Square ordering or booking pages. The integration is accessed through the Square Dashboard and builds on Square’s earlier AI partnerships with ChatGPT and Claude. Square says future updates may include place‑card engagement metrics and peer‑group benchmarks for merchants.

“This integration means our sellers don’t have to choose between running their business and keeping every channel updated,” Morgan Kuntze, global partnership lead at Square parent company Block said.

The new Apple Business integration comes after Square’s earlier AI tools that connect sellers with ChatGPT and Claude to help them appear in customer searches. Square has partnered with Amazon to bring its AI‑driven discovery to voice shoppers via Alexa+. When announcing those AI integrations, Kuntze said in a press release that modern commerce is moving at a sprint and Square is built to help sellers appear everywhere customers are going.
