WooCommerce launches version 11.2 with checkout date picker and sticky filters

WooCommerce has released version 11.2. Stores with up to 50,000 products can now reorder items faster and see reduced database queries when pulling reports.

Sticky positioning can be enabled for the Product Filters block, keeping filters on screen as shoppers scroll through long category pages. Quantity selectors, product images, and filter chips now offer new style controls such as borders, shadows, colors, rounded corners, font, and spacing adjustments. Account emails for password reset, new account, and confirmation no longer CC or BCC the store owner, because those messages now contain login links meant only for the customer. Standard download links remain functional, while a rare custom or imported link containing malformed data may fail and can be reissued from the order when a customer reports an issue. Shop managers can no longer edit users who also hold roles like forum or membership, so WP Admin must handle those role updates. WooCommerce 11.2 delivers security improvements and a database update, advising merchants to back up before applying the update. The product CSV importer now matches rows by global unique ID, then SKU, then GTIN, UPC, EAN, or ISBN when updating existing products. Merchants using the Checkout block can add a date field for shoppers to pick a preferred delivery date or birthday, with limits set via a short code snippet. Store owners selling to EU customers can now configure both the acknowledgment and notification emails for order withdrawals, editing messages, choosing recipients, or turning either email off. Catalog and admin screens load faster, with variable products checking out quicker and report totals using fewer database queries that no longer grow with customer count.
