YardFlow expands yard automation to over 200 facilities of a beverage giant

YardFlow is rolling out its yard‑automation platform to every one of a beverage maker’s 200‑plus sites, building on an earlier 26‑site pilot. The shipper reported moving nearly 5% more freight with the same workforce after the initial deployment, according to YardFlow’s analysis.

YardFlow says its system has processed close to 2 million shipments across the original 26 sites. The platform operates at three‑nines, or 99.9% uptime, the company said. The rollout proceeds from the beverage giant’s largest facilities down to its smallest, aiming for standardized operations across all locations. Drivers check in via QR code or a web portal and need not download an app, a design choice meant to avoid connectivity issues.

“That’s tens of millions of dollars of incremental profit,” Jake Koppinger, founder of YardFlow said.

“They’re pushing us into all of their 200+ facilities, including their smallest, so biggest to smallest, because they want to see that standardization,” Jake Koppinger, founder of YardFlow said.

YardFlow began by addressing the manual bill‑of‑lading process that still relies on paper, staplers and a window slot in thousands of U.S. distribution centers. When the paperwork is misfiled, it creates a cash‑flow problem that surfaces roughly 60 days later as disputed lump‑sum payments.
