Amazon expands US pickup network to nearly 30,000 locations

Amazon now offers nearly 30,000 pickup locations across the United States. Customers are on track to collect more than 100 million packages from these sites this year. Most U.S. customers have a pickup location within five miles of home.

Shoppers can choose Amazon Lockers, Whole Foods Market stores or other participating sites during checkout. Once a package arrives, Amazon emails a pickup code or barcode with the address and location details.

“We want customers to be able to get their Amazon packages in the way that works best for them,” Viraj Chatterjee, vice president of Amazon Transportation said.
