Ex-eBay Manager Sues Over Alleged Seller Favoritism, 2012 Acquisition Metrics

Former eBay Motors Manager Anson Tse sued eBay on September 25, alleging seller favoritism and saying the Parts & Accessories business delivered 21% year‑over‑year growth in 2012. The Administrative Review Board affirmed the earlier dismissal of his claims on August 31, 2026, prompting Tse to seek de novo review in federal court.

Tse worked for eBay from 2007 to 2015, starting as Manager, Enthusiast Vehicles and later serving as interim head of the Parts & Accessories business.

“before the Secretary of Labor issued a final decision,” Anson Tse, former eBay Motors Manager said.

Tse first filed a Sarbanes‑Oxley whistleblower complaint with OSHA in 2015, which OSHA dismissed, and a Department of Labor Administrative Law Judge later denied his claims after a six‑day hearing. The Administrative Review Board affirmed that decision on August 31, 2026, but Tse is now seeking de novo review in federal court under a SOX provision that allows exit when the Labor Department fails to issue a final decision within 180 days.
