Tesco pilots virtual try-on for 1,500 F&F items at Sandhurst Extra store
Tesco has launched a pilot of virtual try-on technology for 1,500 F&F clothing items at its Sandhurst Extra store. The trial is part of a broader refresh of the F&F offering that adds new changing rooms, a dedicated service hub and an expanded in‑store range, while Tesco also rolls out hundreds of extra styles online.
Shoppers can upload or take a photo of themselves on a digital screen and then select a digital model to see how garments look in different sizes. In addition to the virtual try‑on, the Sandhurst Extra store features updated lighting, new signage and a larger F&F selection across womenswear, menswear and childrenswear, plus clearer homeware displays. Online, Tesco has broadened its fashion catalogue with hundreds of additional styles, more size options and exclusive ranges, supported by improved search tools and curated styling inspiration.
Tesco first introduced its online fashion offer last year, which it described as successful, and is now expanding that digital assortment alongside the in‑store trial.
