Wickes posts £865.3m revenue and 2.1% YoY rise in H1 FY26/27

Wickes recorded £865.3 million revenue in the first half of FY26/27, an increase of 2.1% year on year. Adjusted profit before tax rose to £27.6 million, up 1.1% on the previous year.

Statutory profit before tax amounted to £24.6 million for the half‑year period. TradePro membership reached record levels, reflecting stronger loyalty among professional customers. Design & Installation returned to growth, with particular strength in Wickes Bespoke Bathrooms and Lifestyle Kitchens. The retailer upgraded its click‑and‑collect service to a 15‑minute pickup window and launched Wickes Rapid, which delivers up to 800 kg within three hours. Chief executive David Wood said the company remains confident in its strategy and aims to expand to 300 stores. Analyst Julie Palmer pointed to a summer of hot weather and sporting events as a factor behind strong sales. She also noted that a slowing housing market could work in Wickes’ favour as consumers choose to improve existing homes rather than move. Management said momentum is building into Q3, with mid‑single‑digit like‑for‑like revenue growth expected in the retail segment.

“Our value-led retail proposition continues to appeal to both DIY and Trade customers, with TradePro achieving record levels of active members,” David Wood, Chief Executive said.

“low prices, convenient store locations and wide range of products have helped get customers through the door,” Julie Palmer, Managing Partner at BTG said.
